01 July 2016 I am a govt. Salary employee and I published a book as an author and getting royalty. I would like to know royalty income is taxable in my hands and if yes where to show in ITR for income tax purpose. I am getting around 25000/- in F.Y, 2015-16 So kindly advise my where to show royalty income in ITR and which ITR is to be filled by me as per situation.

01 July 2016 ITS Profession income its come under profession income., you can claim exp. against the this income, if you have incurred.
and use ITR-4 form.
