appointment of auditors intimation to ROC for year ended 2014 is mandotory?

As per Section 139 of Companies Act, 2013, now it is duty of the Company to intimate the auditor about his appointment and also to file notice of such appointment with ROC within 15 days of appointment in the GM.
As per Audit rules the notice to Registrar about appointment of auditor under fourth proviso to sub-section (1) of section 139 shall be in Form ADT-1. You have to file form ADT.1 through filing of E-form GLN.2
