Revision of belated return

In response to IT dept notice regarding non filing of ITR-1 for AY 15-16, I filed my return. Then after filing, I noticed some error and revised my return. Now my account on IT Dept e-filling website is showing 2 returns, one as original and another as revised. Both are pending for E-Verification. Which return should I verify and why ?

Only 2 figures have changed, and refund amount is same in both the returns.

When you file a revised return, it supersedes the original return. So, you only need to verify the revised return to complete the process.
Here’s why:
The revised return contains the corrected information.
Once the revised return is verified, the original return is treated as invalid.
Verifying the original return after filing a revised one may cause confusion or processing delays.
