31 October 2012 Dear Sir,
Original return for the AY 2012-13 was filed on 10-06-2012, wherein Rs. 56000/- refund was claimed. However, a revised return for the same was filed on 29-09-2012 and this time Rs. 58000/- refund was claimed.
I sent both itr V in one envelop by speed post, which is acknowledged by cpc on 05/-10-2012.
Now I contacted on cpc call centre, they told me that Rs. 56000/- refund has been determined. I am wondering, why cpc processed the original return, when I have filed revised return and its itr V also acknowledged by cpc on the same day of receipt of original return itr V.

Please advise me.

31 October 2012 As the Assessment is completed by refund order based on your original return.
Further, re-assessment will be done based on revised return.
Wait for some more time to complete assessment against revised return.

31 October 2012 Whether the cpc will issue refund of original return first and then remaining amount after the processing of revised return?

31 October 2012 Though the assessment done against original return, actual refund will take 3 to 6 months.
Till that time your revised return will be processed and final assessment will be done.
