i have rec. an invoice from contractor in which the amount of service tax didn't mention.so, whether i need to pay service tax under work contract or not.

if it is NOT paid through reverse charge, you need to pay the same. Before paying ensure that the same has NOT been done through RCM

after payment of service tax under rcm , can i take the credit of service tax paid in work contract.

Hi I had exported good in bag and payment received in advance. when goods reached the importer , they found bags are damaged. So, they claim an amount of $100 for such Damage and I also rec. Insurance claim . Can any one please tell me what should be the journal entry to passed.

In case amount paid for construction of water harvesting tank, whether service receiver is eligible for credit of service tax and whether work contract service can be included in input service as per cenvat credit rule, 2004.
