PLEASE HELP ITS URGENT
File for the year i.e. 2011/12 & 2012/13
If accepted then the dept will ask for 2010/11 by issuing notice 142(1) ...at that time u may file with justification

BUT SIR ITS A NIL RETURN FOR .A.Y.11-12..SO CAN I FILE NIL RETURN NOW OR NOT..??
However, since you mentioned it’s a nil return for AY 2011-12 (FY 2010-11), the situation is different:
For AY 2011-12, you can still file a belated return (if within the allowed time limit).
But the due date for filing belated return for AY 2011-12 was 31 March 2014.
After this date, you cannot file a belated return online or manually for that year.
If today’s date is before 31 March 2014 (which from your message seems like it is), then:
Yes, you can file the belated nil return for AY 2011-12 online under Section 139(4).
Select the correct ITR form depending on your income sources (for nil return usually ITR-1 or ITR-4).
If the date is after 31 March 2014, you cannot file it now, unless the department issues a notice (e.g., under Section 142(1) or a reopening order).
