13 July 2012 Sir, one of my client is receipt of Salary of Rs.179000/ and rental income of Rs.65000/-, he has paid lic for Rs.25000/ and tution fee for his son Rs.100000/- hence there is no tax ability, is it necessary to the return. he is having the PAN

15 July 2012 Yes it is necessary to file a return for him.
As his Gross Total Income exceeds the taxable limits , he can claim the deductions and file a NIL Return.
