Return filling status of the assessee

09 August 2012 Hello CCI experts

Can you please tell me how to know the staus of Return filed by the assessee till now.

One of my Client has lost all his records due to fire in his shop and he dont know upto which year we have filed his returns

Note: No e-returns has been filed for the assessee till now.... all previous fillings were done manually

09 August 2012 Need to approach the insider from the income tax department. It can be checked from their DCR. The register they maintain at the time of receiving the returns manually.

09 August 2012 Agree with expert,
but its look strange that no idea about return filling that which year upto return is filled.
