i have no PAN and my tds was deducted by bank on interest income in 2009-10 for10000. now i have applied for PAN.
Can i file return for the year 2009-10 and can i get back TDS amount which is deducted in 09-10 and if yes then How? My total income was in basic excemption limit.
Whether any penalty will be imposed on Belated return?
please someone let me know.........

yes you can file return of FY 2009-10 & claim TDS

there is no penalty for return of FY 2009-10. You have to inform your PAN to banker for revising TDS return

Again thanx.......may u tell me that why sec. 271F of income tax act says a penalty for rs. 5000 on belated return?
