Return file after surrender

21 August 2013 I have already surrender my service tax registration no. on dt.13/04/2013. That time i had been filed return for the period Jul-Sep'2012. I want to ask that is it compulsory filing return after surrender and can i filed return for the period October-March'2013 ?

Please solve my query.

you need not file return after surrender if you have followed all the formality of surrender like submitting hard copy, affadavit etc

I have submitted hard copy but at the time of surrender i filed only july to september 2012 return and this time is running for filing oct-march 2013.

So, in that case return should be filed or not ?

If yes, then what is procedure ?

21 August 2013 you have to file return if you have surrender the reg. on oct

if your log in id is not suspended, file the return same as before.

if your log in id is suspended, contact the range officer

22 August 2013 Since, the registration was operative during oct-mar, you need to file return. If our ID is disabled, which I feel not, you should file a hard copy of return.
