28 July 2017 If I file income tax return of 15-16 with tax payable in current date I liable to pay penalty of Rs 5000.

28 July 2017 Although penalty provision is there, income tax department as such is liberal enough NOT to charge the same till date.

28 July 2017 You can file AY 16-17 and AY 17-18..... can't file AY 2015-16...
