i hve a home lone and the total amt of emi is Rs 3 lac appox in which principal is Rs 85000 and rest is interest but by mistake i claim Rs 1 lac under 80C i just want to know how can i ractify this

loan repayment permissible amount is upto Rs. 1 lacs.

You can file revised return and claim Rs85000/- u/s 80C and interest upto Rs1,50,000/- can be claimed u/s 24b in case of self occupied property.

File revised return if possible to file and valid u/s 139(5) and in such return claim u/s 80C Rs.85000 and balance of interest u/s 24(b) with maximum limit is Rs.1,50,000 in case of self occupied property, in case of let out no limit.
