Suppose restaurant bill is rs 1000... service charge of 10% = 100
Now,service tax will be on 1100 or 1000
and As per what section
13 January 2015
Service tax on restaurant bill will be levied at 40% of total bill value. 1100 will be considered for service tax levy.
It is 1100*40%*12.36%.
