21 June 2010 I want the Income tax slab for the year 2010-2011 for all catagory.(male, female, and senior citizen)

For the Fiancial year 2010-11

Male assessee

Up to Rs. 1,60,000 Nil
Rs. 1,60,001 to 5,00,000 10 per cent.
Rs. 5,00,001 to 8,00,000 20 per cent.
Above Rs. 8,00,000 30 per cent

female assessee
Up to Rs. 1,90,000 Nil
Rs. 1,90,001 to 5,00,000 10 per cent.
Rs. 5,00,001 to 8,00,000 20 per cent.
Above Rs. 8,00,000 30 per cent

Senior Citizen assessee
Up to Rs. 2,40,000 Nil
Rs. 2,40,001 to 5,00,000 10 per cent.
Rs. 5,00,001 to 8,00,000 20 per cent.
Above Rs. 8,00,000 30 per cent

21 June 2010 I searched on net the slabs u hv given is right but sumthing is missing in it that is for the slab 300000 - 500000 slab income tax rate is 14000 plus 20 persent. pls let me know that is it right information.

21 June 2010 Mr Jayshree, as from your query it is not clear that you require slab for the 2010-11 FY or AY .
So the slabs provided by Mr Ramesh is for FY 2010-11 (AY 2011-12).

However, the clause that you are mentioning is for FY 2009-10 (AY 2010-11).

I hope, it will be clear now.
