Reporting in TDS return

This query is : Resolved

24 July 2026 Dear Sir,
I have paid Rent of Rs.60000 & Rs.40000 to land lord. I deducted Rs.6000 tds on rent of Rs.60000 but TDS not deducted on Rsnt of Ra.40,000 FY 26-27.
Should I mention in TDS return Rent of Rs.40,000 with NIL tax or I shall mention only Rs.60000 with TDS Rs.6000

24 July 2026 ₹60,000 Rent: Report the total annual amount for this property in Form 26QC and deduct TDS (2%) as it crosses the ₹50,000 monthly threshold.

₹40,000 Rent: Do not report or deduct TDS for this amount since it falls below the statutory limit of ₹50,000 per month under Section 194-IB.
