21 July 2025 Sure! Here’s an urgent, clear reply you can send to your friend regarding filing Income Tax Return (ITR) in India on an LTV visa:

Subject: Filing Income Tax Return in India on LTV Visa

Dear [Friend’s Name],

Regarding your query about filing Income Tax Return (ITR) in India while staying here on a Long Term Visa (LTV) from Pakistan:

Yes, you can file ITR in India if you have earned any income here during your stay. This includes income from salary, business, property, or any other source within India.

Tax Residency:

If you have stayed in India for 182 days or more in a financial year, you will be considered a tax resident of India for that year.

Otherwise, you will be considered a Non-Resident Indian (NRI) for tax purposes.

Filing Requirement:

Residents must file ITR on their global income.

Non-residents file ITR on income earned or accrued in India only.

Visa & FEMA Compliance:
Make sure your activities comply with the conditions of your LTV visa and Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) regulations.

If you need, I can help you with the ITR filing process or connect you with a tax professional.

Please let me know if you want more details.

Best regards,
[Your Name]
