10 February 2026 Assessee has received notice u/s 133(6) for submission of information in connection with his vendor for Fy 23-24
Assessee has expired one year ago. his income tax account is active.

My question is
Now the reply will be signed by whom ? Any documents need to be enclosed re demise of the assessee ?

10 February 2026 Reply must be signed by the legal heir / legal representative.
Yes, attach death certificate + legal heir proof.
Preferably register legal heir on income tax portal.
Reply in format: “Late ___ through Legal Heir ___”.
Provide only requested information.

Notice u/s 133(6) issued to deceased person should be complied with by legal heir under Section 159. Attach death proof and legal heir documents. Ensure portal registration. Reply within time to avoid penalty.
