Rent on commercial property.

16 September 2017 I have rented out a commercial property, but I am not registered under GST. However the landlord is insisting that since I am not registered they will have to pay the GST under Reverse Charge and hence they will deduct the tax amount from rent, which is supposed to be inclusive of all taxes. Is this correct? Should the amount be deducted from the rent?

16 September 2017 The Landlord is registered or not...? If he registered then he ll be collect Tax from you for the Rent. (Rent + Tax)... In case he is URD then no need taxes liability anyway...

17 September 2017 No it cant be deducted as your landlord will get credit of same in his return. So it is unfair to deduct tax from rent.
