Rent exemption under hra for co-owner of property

Please tell if a co-owner (50% share) of a house property lives on rent in that property and pays half rent to other co-owner, can he claim exemption of HRA u/s 10(13A) for that half rent paid?

Yes he is eligible to claim exemption of rent paid to the other co-owner.
