Dear Sir/Madam,
my building is gone for redevelopment,
hence builder is giving us rent of INR 15000/- p.m. and i m paying rent where i presently stay is INR 10000/-
so kindly advise taxability of the above transaction

Hi
Whole rent received is taxable income.
You can get HRA benfit for rent paid u/s 10(13) if yo are salaried employee or u/s 80GG if non salaried.
