28 July 2011 If due to some reasons IPCC registration is rejected (e.g. wrong info, omission, hazy writing etc) will the fee amount be refunded or it will be forfeited?
What should be done in such case as it would lead to wastage of time?

29 July 2011 I am not getting as to what factors will ICAI reject admission. If you are trying to ask whether on account of wrong information, i.e. information that is not true and documents being falsified, then the fees shall not be refunded.

29 July 2011 What in case the form has been filled in a hazy manner e.g. untidy use of whiteners and all. rendering the form unreadable which could't be scanned by machines or computer properly.

21 July 2025 In the case of IPCC (now Intermediate) registration rejection due to technical issues like hazy writing, untidy use of whiteners, or unscannable forms, here’s what generally happens and what you can do:

✅ 1. Will ICAI refund the registration fee if the application is rejected?
Usually, no.
If the rejection is due to candidate error (e.g., illegible form, overwriting, missing documents), ICAI generally does not refund the fees. This is because they treat such mistakes as the responsibility of the applicant.

However, if the rejection is due to an ICAI internal or system error, or they specifically call it a "deficiency" instead of a rejection, they may allow resubmission without charging again.

✅ 2. What should you do if your registration is rejected due to form quality?
Contact ICAI Regional Office immediately (via phone or visit).
Explain the situation, and request reprocessing of your registration by submitting a fresh form along with a letter explaining the issue.
You may be asked to:
Submit a fresh form
Provide corrected documentation
Possibly pay the fee again, if earlier fee is forfeited
