A registered first stage dealer who registered a premises under excise wants to rent a new additional godown too. what formalities need to be done under Excise. Company is having IEC code too.

Hey! For registering an additional godown under Excise for a first stage dealer, here’s the general procedure and documents required:
Procedure:
Application to Excise Department:
Submit an application to the concerned Central Excise Commissioner or jurisdictional Excise office for the additional premises (godown) registration.
Provide Details of New Premises:
Give full address, ownership/rental proof, and usage details of the new godown.
Verification by Excise Authorities:
The Excise department will inspect the premises to verify details.
Obtain Additional Registration Number:
After approval, the additional godown will be added to the existing Excise registration.
Update IEC (if required):
Inform DGFT if the IEC (Importer Exporter Code) needs updating with new address.
Documents Required:
Covering letter requesting additional premises registration.
Proof of ownership or rent agreement for the new godown.
Copy of existing Excise registration certificate.
PAN Card and address proof of the company.
Identity and address proofs of directors/partners.
Authorized signatory details (like board resolution if applicable).
