Registration of shop under esi act

04 July 2014 Sirs,
we are a retail textile showroom with 1 branch. is it necessary to register Head Office and Branch separately under ESI Act? Both the showrooms have more than 20 staff.
Kindly brief me.

04 July 2014 As per the scheme under ESI Act, you can take registration under the State in which your Registered / head office is situated and start compliance of that Registered / head office under ESI registration.

Further you are advised to take sub code registration for your branch office. You will be allotted a sub code registration under main registration. Compliance of branch ESI will be done as per the state ESI law. ESI is not a centralized Act and regulated as per state law.
