27 August 2013 Dear sir,

we are pvt. ltd co. based on kolkata and we also have service tax no.
we have another unit in ahmedabad now we wish to take ST no. for this unit. both company having same name.

how i can get service tax no. should i add new unit in kolkata st registration certificate. or apply a fresh in ahmedabad.

Please advice me.

27 August 2013 If you are following centralised billing system then you apply for amendment of exiting registration or else have to take new registration at Ahmedabad

sir, kolkata unit is registered under service as receipient. both are manufacturing unit and maintain books of a/c seperate.we have not providing any service.

still ahmedabad unit has to register as a seperate new registration.
