Registration Liabilities in mote than one state

17 August 2017 Gst registration query Total Replies : 1 Jethmal Singhvi 16 August 2017 We are Rajasthan Based Pvt Ltd Company, And providing services by way of Installation, erection and commissioning in various states of the India and having centralized office in Rajasthan from where all important decisions are taken and billing and payment are done. Further we also provide some services to other companies in rajsthan by renting them machinery and equipments and those companies are not registered in rajasthan . My questions are, 1. Are we liable to take GST registration in each state or not ? 2. Should we show IGST or CGST & SGST for service provided to other state's companies in Rajsthan ? 3. We also provided services to Jammu and Kashmir, whether GST is applicable or not ?

18 August 2017 If you have a place of business in the state where service is provided registration would be required and in that case CGST-SGST need to be charged for service provided from such place of business.
GST is applicable to the state of J&K w.e.f 8th July 2017.

18 August 2017 No you don't want registration in other states.... you can deal from Rajashthan

18 August 2017 we don't have any office in those states . We manage all work from rajasthan and we sublet maximum of works to local service providers. However some of our supervisors are there and they live in rented house which is paid by us. we also have some labour which are arranged from those states and they are being paid directly from head office. Also we have only one bank account from which all transactions are made. I think now the situation is more clear to both of you. please advise me now whether We are liable to take separate registration for each state or not ??
