28 March 2011 I have a question on VAT%, Is it different from Products to products? If yes then what is minimal n Maximum % of VAT?

28 March 2011 Rate of VAT vary from product to product and state to state. normally the VAT Act of a state has a schedule of rate of VAT on different products. You can visit the website of VAT department of a state to know rates applicable in that state.

28 March 2011 Rightly said by Mr. KKD, every state has schedules of vat % either as A,B,C,D &E as in Maharastra which provides for different products under different Vat rates. The Min is 5% and Max is 12.5%

from 4+1=5 to 15+2.5=17.5
exempted items are also different from state to state
find any website from google whatever your state or if want to know other state then also you can see that vat site.

type commercialtax.(state name).gov.in
or search in google as commercialtax department (statename)
you will know everything what u want to ?
