03 May 2009 i have wrongly entered 2008-09 instead of 2009-10 in challan 281 as assesment year and the payment is already made..if i want to change that as 2009-10 what i have to do? please answer this.....that payment was made last month itself......pls help me

03 May 2009 Dear Rajesh the payment would be regarded as for year 2008-09. For a change there is no formal procedure, however u may request the concerned Assessing Officer for the error committed and wait till any rectification is done from their end.
