06 October 2013 I had cleared CA in Jan'13.....Is it necessary to take membership no. after doing GMCS classes....if yes then is there any time limit ? If I don't take membership no. then what is the effect?

06 October 2013 Its not necessary. The effect is that you are not considered a ca by icai

But GMCS is an process which is required to be completed to get member ship no.

The Institute will demand you about this as and when you go for membership number.

07 October 2013 I got the GMCS certificate but I wanna know if I don't take membership then what will be the effect.......is there any problem in doing job???

07 October 2013 It will depend on you whether you take the membership or not.

The ICAI will not impose any pressure for taking membership to you.

You are free to take as and when you think.
