21 August 2011 Respected Sir/Madam,

This is Govind Gupta. I have an Query which i want to confirm.
My Query is that
> my articleship was over on 02.04.2011 and
> the letter which i was received from ICAI for completion of training was containing excess leave of 89 days
> and for the above i have to submit form 107 with ICAI within 60 days i.e. upto 02.06.2011
> which i not filed.
> now i want to give Final Examination of Nov. 2011 for which i already submit online form.
> but on online form which i duly printed contain a Provision to be in service as on 01.11.2011 (including excess leaves)
> now want i do for that....?????
> i read somewhere from ICAI site that i have to file form 102 & 103 along with Non-Judicial Form for excessive leaves for 89 days to be in service again and then i am eligible for the exams held in Nov 2011.
> whether this provision is correct and if not kindly help me for the same....

22 August 2011 Plzzz Reply someone its urgent....

20 July 2025 Hi Govind! Here’s a clear explanation about your situation regarding articleship completion and exam eligibility:

Your Situation Summary:
Articleship ended on 02.04.2011.
Excess leave of 89 days recorded.
You should have filed Form 107 within 60 days (by 02.06.2011) but didn’t.
You want to appear for CA Final Nov 2011 exam.
Online exam form says you must be in service (articleship) as on 01.11.2011, including excess leave.
You read about filing Form 102 & 103 plus a non-judicial stamp paper affidavit to be considered “in service” again.
What to do now?
Excess Leave & Form 107:
Form 107 is for reporting the completion of articleship.
If you fail to file it within 60 days, you can file it late with a condonation request (explaining delay).
For Excess Leave:
You are required to extend your articleship by the number of excess leave days (89 days).
To do this, you must submit Form 102 (Articleship extension application) and Form 103 (Articleship completion certificate) after extension.
Along with these, an affidavit on a non-judicial stamp paper may be required confirming you accept the extension.
Eligibility for Nov 2011 Exam:
Since the online exam form says you must be in service on 01.11.2011 (including excess leaves), it means you must complete or extend your articleship properly to cover those excess leaves before appearing.
If you haven’t applied for extension yet, you need to immediately apply for extension and file the required forms.
What if you already submitted exam form?
If you do not complete the articleship (including excess leave days) or don’t get condonation, your eligibility may be rejected.
You may contact ICAI regional office or student helpdesk immediately for guidance and regularize your position.
Summary:
Yes, the provision you read is correct — you have to apply for extension via Form 102 & 103 along with affidavit.
File Form 107 (even late) with a request for condonation for delay.
Ensure you fulfill articleship duration including excess leave before appearing in the exam.
Contact ICAI for clarifications and to avoid your exam form being rejected.
