Sir I am a student of cs professional programme june 14 term. I am confused about the modified training structure. I have already done my computer training,SIP,PDP and registered for EDP few months ago. Will I be able to do my EDP training and 15months training only after modified scheme.. Else we have option to adopt earlier structure also. Reply

Hereโs a clear explanation regarding your situation as a CS Professional student (June 2014 term) with respect to the modified training structure introduced by ICSI:
โ Background on Modified Training Structure: In 2014, ICSI notified a modified training structure effective from 1st April 2014, but they also gave flexibility for students already registered before that date.
๐ Your Situation (Based on Timeline): You mentioned:
You registered before or around April 2014. You already completed: Computer Training SIP (Student Induction Programme) PDP (Professional Development Programme) Registered for EDP (Executive Development Programme) โ Can You Follow the Earlier Training Structure? Yes, based on your registration and training status at that time, you were eligible to continue under the earlier (old) structure.
This means:
๐น You do not need to compulsorily adopt the modified structure. ๐น You can complete: 8 days of EDP 15 months of training under a PCS or company 25 hours of PDP ๐ Key Clarification from ICSI (via Announcement/Circular): Students who had already started or completed any part of the training (like SIP, PDP, EDP) before 1st April 2014 were allowed to continue and complete their training under the old scheme.
โ What Should You Do? Complete your EDP as per earlier norms (8 days). Undergo 15 months of training (if not already done). Ensure PDP hours are completed (25 hours total). You do not have to re-register under the modified training scheme. ๐ Suggestion: If you are still unsure or need a written confirmation, you can:
Email: training@icsi.edu or your regional chapter. Mention your registration number, dates of SIP/EDP registration, and ask for written clarity.
