Hello,
I am selling cars for which I have paid to have advertisement in newspaper. By advertising agency on bill amount they had charged service tax from us.
Now my question is whether service tax paid on input service of advertisement is eligible for credit of input service.

We have Service Tax Registration and Collect of service Tax on Service Income ,must take input credit of Advertising Agency bill.

Sir, but I am selling car and paying service tax on commission income. So whether I can take credit of input service of advertisment.

If the commission income is for selling the car then cenvat credit can be claimed on advertisement.

Commission income is from Financer and on warranty, so now can I claim service tax credit on input service of advertisement.

For claiming cenvat credit the input service has to be utilized for providing out put service as per cenvat credit Rules.
