Yes you can submit your CPT form in regional office. You can also take registration on line and submit physical form with your regional center which is covered to Ranchi centre.

It seems like you are looking to register for the CPT (Common Proficiency Test) under the ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) and are concerned about the process and where to send your documents.
Here’s a clear step-by-step guide on how you should proceed:
1. DD Payable Details: The DD (Demand Draft) should be payable to the "Secretary, ICAI".
It should be drawn in favor of the Secretary, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
The DD should be sent to the nearest regional office or the Kanpur regional office (depending on the specific guidelines of the ICAI office you are applying to).
If you are not sure of the amount or if it's different based on the registration period or other factors, I recommend checking the official ICAI website or calling the office directly for clarification.
2. Submission of Physical Form: Normally, you can submit the physical CPT form to your regional office.
However, in your case, the regional office has told you to send it to the Kanpur center. This could be due to the specific registration procedures or policies they have for your region.
It's important to double-check the instructions on the ICAI website for any specific submission guidelines for your area, as sometimes rules might vary based on location.
3. Timing Concerns for December Exam: As you mentioned you are preparing for the December exam, the registration process can take time. If you have submitted everything on time, you should be fine for the December examination.
Keep track of your application: Once you have submitted the registration form and DD, make sure to ask for an acknowledgment receipt or tracking number for your submission.
Study Material:
Study materials will generally be sent to you after your registration is processed. If you’re in a hurry, you could call or email the ICAI Regional office or the Kanpur office to ask if it’s possible to receive the materials earlier or if they can be made available for download.
4. Alternative Methods: If you’re pressed for time, consider calling the ICAI Kanpur or Ranchi office directly and explaining your urgency for the December exam. They may provide an expedited process or at least give you clearer timelines for when you will receive the study material.
5. Where to Send the DD and Form: If you're directed to send your documents to Kanpur, the address will typically be mentioned in the registration guidelines on the ICAI website, or you can inquire directly at the office where you received the information.
Conclusion: DD should be payable to “Secretary, ICAI”.
Submit the form as per the instructions given by your regional center (if instructed to send to Kanpur, follow that).
Follow up with the office for study material and confirmation on registration.
You’ll be able to appear for the December exam as long as you follow the registration procedure and submit everything in time. I recommend you to also contact ICAI support for urgent clarifications if necessary.
