10 July 2017 Due to death of a director , casual vacancy has been created . so please advice us that within how many days new director must be appointed so as to fulfill the minimum directorship criteria. Above mentioned case refers to private limited company.

11 July 2017 Directors are generally appointed in the Annual General Meeting. In the above case, to maintain the minimum directorship, the company can call for extra ordinary general meeting. Notice to be given within 21 days and meeting has to be conducted within 45 days from the date of receipt of such notice.
