An Assessee filed his ITR for the A.Y. 2009-10 claiming a refund of Rs. 2,544/- but he received only Rs. 2,050/- through ECS.
What are the remedies available to him?

GO TO YOUR IT WARD AND ASK FOR YOUR INTIMATION U/S 143(1), SHOWING DETAILS OF YOUR ASSESSMENT.

Dear
1. Write to ITO concerned stating that your refund claim was for different amount and you received refund of lesser amounts. Enclose the photocopy of the TDS certificate .Give a copy of letter to JT.Commissioner of the range under whom your A.O works.
2. Nothing happened within 30 days time, write to Commissioner with copy to ITO & jt Commissioner
3. If nothing happened, write to Chief Commissioner with copy to ITO & Jt CIT
I think you will get REFUND happen.
