What is the procedure of redeeming refund of income tax.

Just file the return in time and mention your bank account no the check will be sent at the address given by you.

If you want, refund may be directly credited in your bank account

Agree. You have the option of selecting whether you want refund by cheque or directly into your bank a/c. If you want directly into bank account you will have to mention your MICR code in addition to your bank account no.
