04 February 2016 Dear Sir,
I have filed my return in AUG 2015 for the ay 2015-16. Still that return is in under process. Whenever I try to contact on helpline, automated machine tells only that return is under process. Where I should contract to get status of my refund?

Please advise me.

You can submit your grievance by login to your account in efiling website and click on helpdesk tab and submit grievance to proceed

or

please contact your jurisdictional assessing officer and request to process the return quickly

04 February 2016 This return is filed online. Whether it would be relevent to contact local AO for the refund ? Online system was introduced to proctact assessee from local office obligations? I hope you would understand what I mean.

05 February 2016 Contacting the AO is not helpful because he will not be able to help you out. The best option is to file an online grievance.
