1. Stamp Duty on Transfer of Equity Shares (e.g., claiming refund from IEPF)
As per Schedule I-A, Article 5(b)(ii) of the West Bengal Stamp Act, the rate on the transfer of shares is ₹0.50 for every ₹5,000 or part thereof, which equates to 0.01% of the market value of shares

However, following the Finance Act, 2019, effective 1 July 2020, all states now follow a uniform central rate: 0.015% of the market value for share transfers

📌 2. Stamp Duty on Issue of Share Certificates
If the company issues share certificates (e.g., to reflect shares reclaimed from IEPF), West Bengal requires a duty of ₹0.60 per certificate
