10 December 2011 Dear Friends & Experts,

Please see and give your suggestions / solutions :

I have lost the Income Tax Return for ABC Private Limited for AY 2011-12.

Company wants to file a revised return.

Fortunately, we have only XML file.

Query

Is there any way that we can import the XML file in the downloaded ITR-6 and do the necessary changes and thus complete the revised filing ?

10 December 2011 You can download the ITR-06 from the net and fill the same with correct details. The ITR-V acknowldgement no. is required for filing revised return and I think same will be available with you. The revised return will also be filed within prescribed time period. Thanks

Do not mistake me for mentioning this.

I may mention that 'form filling' is not my specific query.

My specific query is 'how to import xml file (of the original itr-6)' in the downloaded itr-6 and do the necessary changes and complete the revised filing, as the original itr-6 is lost.

From which software you created XML file i am using Sensys Software in which there is option to convery XML file into Excel file as u desired and if you want to convert so then you may contact me at perfection_kapil@yahoo.co.in

10 December 2011 you just right click xml file
select 'Open With'
Microsoft Word then hit Enter

here in word you can atleast find the information you have entered

and at the last can get your return filed...

if other procedure dont work
