What is the implication if a trader has sold goods at a price more than MRP and the whether the resptive case is to be dealt according to standards weight and measurements act

When you fix mrp the excise duty is being paid on the same.
If you say you are selling more than the mrp price then you should pay the revised excise duty.
You should also check what is the product. For eg if medical items are there and if you are charging more than mrp it is an offence.
