when u have done balance sheet audit of 9 years of an AOP in the current year...on which date the ca can sign the balance sheet..is the date on which the balance sheet prevails or the current period....if u can quote any sections or provisions supporting it that will be gratful...thanx

once the audit is completed as planned by auditor and if he is satisfied about the truthfullness and fairness of books or accounts and if other requirements are satisfied then he can sign thereafter.

appointment of auditor is on back dates, but audit done during the year for 9 years....so you are saying the ca should sign the balance sheet from the back date not on the year the audit was done.....

no...you understood me incorrectly...i meant that usually engagement letter has a clause regarding the final date of completion of audit and signing the financial statments, u need to refer them.
