Every company having paid up capital of Rs.5 crores should appoint a CS.
The limit for appointment of company secretary is incresed from 2 crores to 5 crores from 15.03.2009.
The company having paid up capital b/w 10 lacs and 5 crores should get a compliance certificate from a practicing company secretary which should form part of the Board's Report.
