whts the diff b/w prospectus and red herring prospectus.

Prospectus - any document described or issued as a prospectus and includes any notice, circular, advertisement or other document inviting deposits from the public or inviting offers from the public for the subscription or purchase of any shares in , or debentures of, a body corporate.
Red-herring prospectus :
It a prospectus which does not have complete particulars on price and quantum of securities offered. It shall be filed at least 3 days before opening of the subscription list.

in general a red herring prospectus is a kind of book which describes all the liabilities and upcomming events of co.
and include all the detail of promotors also. right??

Both are prospectus. But details of particulars which will not be there in red-herring prospectus.
