26 September 2007 Prospectus - any document described or issued as a prospectus and includes any notice, circular, advertisement or other document inviting deposits from the public or inviting offers from the public for the subscription or purchase of any shares in , or debentures of, a body corporate.

Red-herring prospectus :
It a prospectus which does not have complete particulars on price and quantum of securities offered. It shall be filed at least 3 days before opening of the subscription list.

in general a red herring prospectus is a kind of book which describes all the liabilities and upcomming events of co.
and include all the detail of promotors also. right??

is prospectus also a kind of book or a general notice which r printed in newspapers..??

27 September 2007 Both are prospectus. But details of particulars which will not be there in red-herring prospectus.
