01 June 2012 sir,
i want to know how many times an officer can issue proposition by changing the figures for the same assessment period/s- urgent.

There is no such limit laid down in law. As an assessing finds new evidences to show suppression of turnover or evasion of tax he may issue additional notices to the first notice.Such new evidences may come from intelligence or elsewhere....MJK
