Proofs for lta exemption

Pls let us know whether for claiming LTA exemption proofs are required to be collected by employer or not.

Yes; The employer has to collect the proofs of LTA expenditure incurred by his employee. It is his obligation to see that LTA claimed by the employee is within the parameters prescribed by IT Rules.
