31 January 2011 is there any restriction in company law for a promoter to become director in a company(Private and Public)???????????

01 February 2011 There is no such restriction. In many small private companies promotors are the only directors.

01 February 2011 Agreed with the expert but a Promoter Director of the Company cant be treated as an Independent Director on the Board of Directors of the Company. So,you must bear this point in mind before appointing him as Director of the Company.
