11 February 2012 One of my is a Doctor having his office in Mumbai. Now he has recd the Notice from the Professional Tax Department (Amravati). Can he apply to the PT at his place of profession rather than at his native place Amravati.

Please suggest me what should be done??

11 February 2012 You could seek registration at mumbai and cancel the registration of PT at Amravati.. since the work or profession is exercised in Mumbai..

Also if the PT is already paid in mumbai.. copy of the same may be produced to drop the notice ..
