will professional tax deducted in bonus payment? Answer required urgent basis. pl clarify my doubt.

No as per West Bengal Laws Professional Tax need not be deducted on Bonus. Im not sure about other states

PT not applicable on Bonus paymnet ,It is not a part of Salary Or wages.

PT has slab, if cross the slab then the slab rate will applicable..
In Kar
Ex: upto 9999k no PT
from 10000k to 14999k = 150
from 15000k and above = 200

Under Maharashtra P. Tax Act, as per definition u/s. 2(h) salary & wages for profession tax calculation does not include bonus in any form and on any account or gratuity.

Once the total PT amount being deducted from salary account, no need to deduct it any more from any other payments.
