Whether Prof. tax is to be deducted on Gross Salary before deducting PF or Net Salary after deducting PF or Basic Salary..

25 August 2014 Dear Ashish,

There are different slabs for different salary ranges for deducting PF Amount. You have to deduct according to Gross Salary of the Employees.

Above reply means, PT will be deducted on the Gross amount payable before deducting Prov. Fund.
