reply me the procedure and required documents for the purpose of cancellation of service tax no.

14 March 2009 1)ST-3 returns should be up to date.
2)Service tax and other dues,if any,payable to Government should be nil.
3)Prepare an application to surrender ST-2.
4)Prepare an affidavit stating mainly that service tax dues ,if any, arising in due course ,for the period when services were rendered,shall be borne by the applicant.
5)Surrender original ST-2.
6)Documents to be filed:-
a) Application.
b) Affidavit.
c) Original ST-2.

15 March 2009 Thankyou sir, please reply me, how much amount of Rs.___ stmap paper required for cancellation of service tax registration.

Please also send me a draft sepecimen of stamp paper format.

17 March 2009 No Stamp paper is required. Prepare the affidavit in plain paper.
