17 July 2013 1)Applicable section is 10(11).

2)Any PPF interest received is fully exempt under sec.10(11)

3)Extract of Section 10(11)for your reference..

"from any other provident fund set up by the Central Government and notified by it in this behalf in the Official Gazette"

Above words was Inserted by the Finance Act, 1968, w.e.f. 1-4-1969

So any amount received from Public providend fund scheme 1968 also covered in the section 10(11)

4)Investment is also exempt from 80C
